Open Gates/Alumni House Trip to Washington D.C.
March 10 – 14, 2010
The Open Gates program and Worcester Academy’s Alumni House have teamed up to provide a fun and educational tour of Washington D.C. In addition to giving us special access to some popular and off-the-beaten-path sights, our alumni hosts will share about their personal careers and professions. Scheduled visits include: the World Bank, White House, Capital, Pentagon and Arlington Cemetery. When not visiting with alumni, we’ll explore the Smithsonian, National Monuments and perhaps see a show or concert. The week will end with a Sunday brunch at the home of Dr. Craig Dufresne, recipient of Worcester Academy’s 2009 Most Distinguished Alumni Award who will host us along with all greater Washington D.C. area alumni. For more information, contact Dr. Murnane
Cost is $500

We just had a great field trip out to Brisas Tropicales on main street in Worcester to celebrate the hard work of those who took the AP Spanish exam. We conducted the entire visit in Spanish and discovered a number of Salvadoran and Caribbean delicacies. Pupusas, maduros, tostones, and horchata were all big hits.
